Dr. Charles Cheng is the Risk Management Partner at Amino Capital. He holds an LLM in Corporate Governance and Practice from Stanford Law School, an LLB, LLM and Ph.D. of Laws respectively from Wuhan University School of Law, along with a Graduate Certificate in International Studies from the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Prior to joining Amino, Dr. Cheng was the In-House Legal Counsel at Chu Shang Leading Venture Capital in Wuhan, China. Dr. Cheng is dedicated to researching and finding ways to integrate the application of Chinese laws and U.S. laws. He served as a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School and the Greater China Research Associate at the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre, and managed legal projects sponsored by the United States Department of State, the Ford Foundation, and the Asian Legal Resource Centre. He has numerous publications on legal issues relating to merging technology and corporate governance in China, the United States, Japan, and Norway.
